Glimpses of my life.
the goal: run 5 miles every Saturday in December. Off to a good start. Kept a steady pace running Furman's beautiful campus!

I’ve found a nook in town that I can call my own. I spent 5.5 hours here writing yesterday and it was splendid!

I tried to capture the sunset from the drive to dinner on Monday night. Picture does it no justice but there’s still a lot of beauty here worth sharing. I’ve never noticed how beautiful the sky is as much as I have the past two years. When I’m not driving I can’t seem to take my eyes off of the sky!

Things I regret 0% of the time: getting outside for a morning walk. ☀️

Burgers, sushi, gyoza, salad, bento box, bestie. Today’s work break was clearly the BEST! Gratitude on 10/10.

Traveling during a social media break feels so good! I started a new book and 200+ pages later I may make a “no social media” rule on all car rides going forward (to the extent I remain on social in the future).

Front row. The Intimidator. Me and Krystal. Best re-entry to roller coasters after over 5 years! Second time rode it with my oldest. Her first big roller coaster and she loved it! I did NOT do front row with her since it was her first time on a big coaster.

I try to snap a picture of us holding hands as often as I can. I think one day I’ll make a book with letters to him using the photos.

“The best work is the work you are excited about.” Rick Rubin in The Creative Act: A Way of Being. So much to say about this I’m sure I’ll blog and/or podcast about it soon but I read this book the first week of July and there were more than a handful of things that were worth the 400+ page read.

Felt like a dress on a Tuesday. So I went for it.

Tennis-ish with my youngest. He had so much fun. Balls were hit. More were not.

I didn’t know that I liked s’mores until friends invited me to make some. Now I bring a travel fire pit and supplies to friends' homes to bring the joy of s’mores wherever I go.
